Ouachita to welcome Cyber Challenge on Oct. 15 

By CHASE HARTSELL | OBU News Bureau  Ouachita Baptist University will host the Arkansas Aerospace & Defense Cyber Challenge from 12-4 p.m. on Thursday, October 15 in Walker Conference Center. Event registration is open to all, and guests can sign up by emailing cyber@obu.edu. In the Cyber Challenge, participants will partner with industry professionals in simulations reflecting real cybersecurity risks that Arkansas businesses and organizations are facing. The event will begin at noon with check-in, lunch and a welcome, followed by a few presentations and simulations. A virtual prelude to the challenge will be available for participants in early October.…

Former Clark County deputy pleads no contest to felony charges for breaking into Prescott squad room

PRESCOTT — A former Clark County lawman with a sketchy history pleaded no contest to a felony charge accusing him of breaking into the Prescott Police Department’s squad room and stealing from his colleagues there. According to court records posted online, 37-year-old Joshua Kyle Waldrum’s no contest plea to one count of Breaking or Entering occurred in a Nevada County courtroom, where under terms of the plea he signed a consent order for decertification of his law enforcement credentials that would bar him from working as a police officer in Arkansas.
