WASHINGTON, Arkansas — On Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., the Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives (SARA) will host a genealogy workshop on site at 201 AR-195 in Washington, Hempstead County.
The presentation, “Finding Your Early Arkansas and American Ancestors,” will offer tips on starting genealogical research and focus on finding early American and Arkansas ancestors. After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to use research resources at SARA, with individual assistance from staff.
Participants are welcome to bring personal devices, like laptops and tablets.
The workshop is free to attend but registration is required. There are 20 spots available.
