Johnny Lee Hale was born on April 8, 1947, in Okolona, Arkansas to the union of Imon Hale and Corenthia Osborne Hale. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church, Okolona. The family moved to Los Angles in 1964 where he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1966.
He moved back to Okolona and worked for several years at Siplast. Johnny enjoyed attending church, fishing and hunting. He was a simple man who enjoyed the simple pleasure of life.
Johnny passed on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Imon Hale and Corenthia Osborne Hale; his brothers, Manuel Hale and Imon Hale, Jr. and two granddaughters, Kennedy Hale and Jabria Hale.
Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Johnny Hale, Jr., of Gurdon, AR, Jacobe J. (Corinna) Hale, Sr., of Arkadelphia, AR and Steven Hale of Las Vegas, NV; a bonus daughter, Kiana Tate of Dyersburg, TN; his grandchildren, Jerome Hale, Jasmine Hale, India Hale, Alyihah Hale, Jacobe J. Hale, Jr., Jayden A. Hale and Jayla I. Hale; a sister Shirley Dancy of Los Angeles, CA; a brother, Norman (Donna) Hale of Sherwood, AR; and a sister-in-law, Priscilla Hale of Okolona, AR. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Williams Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
