No. 2 Henderson St. will return to the Par 72, 6010-yard Forest Ridge course Tuesday morning where the teams will finish the first round and attempt to play an additional 36 holes to finish off the originally-scheduled 54-hole event.
Prior to this week, Henderson State won both the GAC Championship and the Central Region Championship in its last two tournaments at Hot Springs Country Club by a combined 63 strokes.
No. 2 Henderson St. will look to maintain its lead for what would be its third consecutive victory at the par 72, 5926-yard Hot Springs Country Club dating back to last season.
The Reddies edged out No. 10 West Texas A&M by one stroke and bested No. 18 Missouri-St. Louis by 16 shots.
In the first round, the Reddies shot 17-over 305 as a team and are currently 6-over par with six holes left in the second round.
No. 3 Henderson State sits in fourth place after 36 holes with a 35-over 611 at the NCAA National Championships Preview.
