
James Edward “Jimbo” Brashier, age 89, of Sparkman, passed from this life on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his home. He was born September 17, 1934, in Manning, the son of the late Hardy Edward and Berdena Nellie Wilson Brashier.
Jimbo was a 1954 graduate of Sparkman High School. He was a retired Logger having owned and operated his own log truck. Jimbo was a member of Dalark Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working during his life.
Jimbo was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia Rose Brashier, one sister, Emma Jean Scott, two brothers, Dallas Brashier and Robert Brashier.
Survivors are one son, Brian Brashier of Sparkman, two daughters, Susan Leslie Alvarado (Juan) of Oklahoma City, OK and Sandra Jean Gates of Fenton, MO, one sister, Betty Stewart of Arkadelphia, six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2024, at Dalark Methodist Church with Pastor Travis Langley officiating.
No visitation is planned.
Interment will be in Delamar Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Dalark Methodist Church.
