
Carey Lynn Davidson, Age 67 of Amity departed this life on May 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his wife and loving family. He was born February 13, 1957 in Nashville, Arkansas, the son of R.W. Davidson and Wanda Burton Davidson Owens.
Carey’s working years were spent in the logging industry from driving a log truck to operating a skidder. His younger years were spent at Dwiggins’ Peach Orchard, picking peaches. He was an avid outdoorsman, any type of hunting, fishing and boating. The Caddo River held a special place in his heart. He was a loving husband, father, papaw, son and brother. Most importantly he had made the profession of faith in Jesus Christ.
Carey was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Burton Owens, grandparents – Howard & Wanda Burton; Roscoe and Camellia Davidson; nephew Kaul Lambert and bonus father John Lambert and a host of good friends who went before him. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Carey is survived by his wife, Kim Davidson of 30 years, four children, daughters, Tessia Hamner (Justin) of Amity, Toriah Woodall (Kaleb) of Point Cedar; sons, Justin Davidson of Caddo Valley and Zachary Davidson (Amanda) of Donaldson; three siblings, Nita Wingo (Bruce) of Hot Springs, Kelly Brown of Ottumwa, IA, Shane Davidson of Hot Springs, and bonus brother Darrin Lambert (Melissa); five grandchildren, Karson, Bow, Dixie, Jaylen and Sparrow; five bonus grandchildren and one bonus great grandchild; his father R.W. Davidson (Wanda) of Amity and bonus mother Brenda Lambert (Point Cedar); nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Philippi Church at Point Cedar or Arkansas Game & Fish Commission for children’s programs.
