
Joyce Ann Dixon, age 82, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center in Hot Springs. She was born October 21, 1941, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late W.A. “Bill” and Mildred Patterson Watson.
Joyce was a 1959 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, traveling and most of all visiting with her children and grandchildren. Joyce loved to drink Coke and eat Cheetos. She was retired from the Area Agency on Aging. Joyce was a member of Second Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-four years, Joe Dixon and one brother, Tommy Watson.
Survivors are one son, Terry Dixon of White Hall, two daughters, Ann Strother (Mitchell) of Bismarck and Tomi Hill (Sean) of Copperas Cove, TX, six grandchildren, Jonathan Strother (Audra) of Bismarck, Jennifer Dennison (Garnet) of Needham, IN, Courtney Wilson (Ryan) of Arkadelphia, Joe Dixon and Todd Dixon both of Malvern and Allyssa Hill of Copperas Cove, TX, six great-grandchildren, Aspen, Hayden and Seth Dennison of Needham, IN, Ryker Waldron of Arkadelphia, Ezra Dixon of Malvern and Raylan Strother of Bismarck.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 25, 2024, at Welch Funeral Home with Pastor Louie Heard officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Lance Garner, Wayne Neel, Ryan Wilson, DeWayne Robbins, Tony Bell and Randy Dixon.
