SW Arkansas in for severe weather Wednesday evening

Chances for thunderstorms continue today into tonight. Damaging winds and very large hail will be the primary threats with the strongest storms. A few tornadoes could also be seen. The best chances for seeing severe weather will be across the southwest half of the state.

Arkadelphia’s high Wednesday will approach 83˚F with an 80% chance of precipitation. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely, mainly after 11 p.m. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue for Thursday. Some strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, with damaging winds and large hail the primary threats.
