With the Great American Eclipse just days away and a plethora of information available, we hope you’ve put in some thought into where you plan to view the eclipse.
While the bulk of Clark County is in the path of totality, the eclipse will only be visible for 33 seconds in southern portions including Gurdon. Arkadelphia will experience 2 minutes 14 seconds in darkness. Amity takes the trophy for the longest time in darkness among Clark County cities, at 3 minutes 47 seconds.

The farther west you are, the more time you’ll experience the eclipse — just a few miles to the west of Amity, in the Pike County city of Glenwood, the moon will cast its shadow and give 4 minutes, 1 second in darkness. In Montgomery County’s Mount Ida, you could be seeing planets and stars for as long as 4 minutes, 15 seconds.
Some of our readers, however, live outside the path of totality or in another state entirely. We’d like to know where you plan to be on Monday, April 8. This poll will expire at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 4, and we’ll post the results afterward.
