Michael Lee Lester, Sr, age 75, of Gum Springs, passed from this life on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Nightingale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was born August 5, 1948, in Wilmington, CA, the son of the late Edward Lee and Evelyn Lester.
Michael was retired from the United States Army Reserves, United States Postal Service and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. He enjoyed HAM radios and the American Legion in his free time.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Rebecca Stiffler Lester.
Survivors are two sons, Michael Lee Lester, Jr, of Yuba City, CA and James Lester (Melissa) of Powhatan, VA, two grandchildren, Andrew Thomas Werst and Adajean Maryelle Langlois, one great-grandchild, Eli James Werst, and one brother, Jack Lester of Arkadelphia.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 23, 2024, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Joe May officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion.
