Robert Glen Smith, age 54, of Benton passed from this life on Monday May 1, 2023, at his home. He was born on September 20, 1968, in Arkadelphia the son of David and Carolyn Sue Keeton Smith.

Glen was a United States Navy veteran. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, taking care of his dogs, and spoiling his grandchildren.

Glen is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Keeton, and his aunt/mom, Marie Holder.

Survivors are his husband, Thomas Speakmon of Benton, two daughters, Julia Sims (Billy) of Star City, and Angie Hart of Vacaville, CA, one brother, Steven Smith of Arkadelphia, six grandchildren, Will, Clay, Cadee, Austen, Jackson, and Sawyer, three adopted grandchildren, Reanna, Michael, and Austin, one great grandson Kane,  several nieces, and his beloved dogs, Buddy and Puppee.

The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Saturday May 6, 2023, at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Bismarck.

Glen requested no flowers and asked donations be made to the Humane Society of Clark County P.O. Box 435 Arkadelphia AR 71923 or St. Jude Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN, 38105-9959.
