Katie Bell Holcomb, age 71, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at CHI St. Vincent’s in Hot Springs. She was born on February 22, 1953, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Lendel Doyle and Hazel Wrinkle Bell.
Katie worked at Tyson Foods in Nashville for many years. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church in Whelen Springs. Katie enjoyed flower gardening and playing slots in her free time.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Eric Smith, three brothers, Doyle, LD, and John Smith, and two sisters, Peggy Hopper and Reba Bell.
Katie is survived by two sons, Chris Smith (Crystal) of Alpine, and Tracy Smith of Arkansas, one brother, Joe Bell of Okolona, eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday July 19, 2024, at Welch Funeral Home with William Wesson officiating.
Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Welch Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Hill Family Cemetery at Alpine.
Pallbearers are Bo Ellis, Dean Jones, Bryan Edwards, Kenny Wrinkle, Chris Smith and Blaine Smith.
