A report of an assault on a pregnant woman sent officers to an apartment at 120 North 20th street. Officers arrived to find the pregnant woman at the apartment where her child’s father was living with his girlfriend. The man was angered when the two women exchanged text message evidence of his relationship with the expectant mother. Statements from the two women differed on exactly what happened when the pregnant woman tried to enter the apartment to confront the father either pushed her to the floor and against a wall or caused her to trip and fall into the wall. Apparently the girlfriend broke up the confrontation. Baptist EMS evaluated the woman who fell but did not transport her to the hospital. The police incident report did not indicate that any arrests were made at the apartment.

Police opened a felony investigation regarding residential burglary.

Apparently the man was sober enough to realize he could not pull his head out of the door and would have to go forward. He was able to gain access where he encountered the woman’s actual boyfriend. A loud argument between the two men was underway when officers arrived. Both men were initially detained until police determined the second man did live at the address with the homeowner and was just trying to get the intruder to leave.
