Arkadelphia man charged with 30 counts of child porn possession

An Arkadelphia man has been charged with 30 counts of Possessing or Viewing Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child.

Scott M. Walker, 31, was named as a suspect in a child porn case filed this week in Clark County Circuit Court by 9E Prosecuting Attorney Dan Turner.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Walker allegedly used a Kik instant messaging app to upload videos of prepubescent females engaged in sexual acts with adult males.

On October 7, 2024, the Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children unit of the Arkansas State Police received a cybertip regarding potential child pornography uploaded to a specific IP address.

Special Agent Dale Young, working with Miller County Detective John Beasley, obtained a search warrant based upon the cybertip and ultimately identified Walker as the account holder.

Following further investigation, Walker was arrested by the Arkansas State Police on Oct. 22, and law enforcement took possession of an additional digital device upon his arrest.

Walker’s arraignment was scheduled for Dec. 9, with future court dates and trial setting to follow. Bond was set at $85,000.

The offense is a class C felony and carries a punishment of 3-10 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
