LAKE VILLAGE — Arkansas State Police announced that special agents with the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) have arrested a Lake Village teenager in connection with the death of a Lake Village man.
The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at about 8 p.m., after officers with the Lake Village Police Department (LVPD) responded to a welfare check in the 300 block of Black Street. Upon entering the residence, officers discovered the body of Willie McCree, 65, of Lake Village, deceased. LVPD requested ASP CID to investigate the death.
On Friday, Aug. 22, CID Agents, with the assistance of the LVPD, arrested Anthony Adams, 18, of Lake Village. Adams was taken into custody and transported to the Lake Village Jail, where he was charged with First-Degree Murder.
The deceased has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for a determination of the manner and cause of death.
