ARKADELPHIA — Following its 21-13 win over previously-ranked No. 7 Harding this past Saturday at home, the Ouachita Baptist University football team has moved up in all three national polls for week five of the 2022 season.

The biggest jump in the polls came from D2Football.com, where the Tigers moved up five spots from No. 9 to No. 4, tying the program’s all-time highest national rank. The American Football Coaches Association moved Ouachita up three spots to No. 6 this week, and the NCAA moved the Tigers up to No. 5 in its latest Division II power rankings.

The AFCA has now included Ouachita in its national rankings in 43 consecutive polls, including all of the 2018, 2019, and 2021 seasons, and now all five weeks of the 2022 season.

The 4-0 Tigers head to Alva, Oklahoma this weekend for their longest road trip of the 2022 season to take on Northwestern Oklahoma State. Saturday’s kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
