The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Thursday, Sept. 15
Police opened a felony case of theft between $5,000-$10,000.
Police investigated a felony breaking or entering.
2:30 p.m.
A bank that had repossessed a deceased man’s vehicle reported finding a revolver inside the car. Police secured the weapon for safekeeping.
10:26 p.m.
Police arrested a Gurdon woman at Walmart for shoplifting.
11:30 p.m.
Noting a vehicle that had been abandoned for months at the Family Dollar parking lot, 1550 Pine St., officers had the vehicle towed after they could not make contact with its registered owner.

Police opened a rape case.
12:23 p.m.
An officer responded to Powder Mill Apartments, 2801 Twin Rivers Dr., for a report of a broken door jamb. The complainant wanted a report filed because her son had to force open the door after being locked out.
Monday, Sept. 12
10:07 p.m.
Walmart’s loss prevention officer reported finding several anti-theft cases broken and abandoned in the aisles, and the items they contained stolen. He was able to identify two suspects.

Wednesday, Sept. 14
9 p.m.
A carnival worker was arrested at the fairgrounds for drug charges. He requested a deputy to take him elsewhere because he’d had it with his job, and a search of his person revealed drugs and paraphernalia.

Kenneth Furrell McClure, 52, was sentenced.
Peter Jacob Pricop, 30, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for public intoxication.
David Bryant, 43, was held for continued detention.
Thursday, Sept. 15
Ferderria D. Cook, 26, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for failure to appear.
