Robert Pierce “Bob” Murphy, age 81, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born October 2, 1944, in Toledo, OH, the son of the late Robert Patrick and Evelyn Carey Murphy.
Bob was a graduate of Scott High School. He was a certified welder by trade and retired from the Dana Corporation after thirty-eight years of service. Bob and his wife Billie, owned and operated The UPS Store in Arkadelphia for the last twenty-five years in Arkadelphia. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and shooting pool in his free time.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Timothy Brandon Thomason.
Survivors are his wife, Billie Murphy of Arkadelphia, one son, Michael Aaron Thomason of Little Rock, one daughter, Micki Michelle Thomason of Russellville, one brother, Michael Murphy (Nancy) of California, two sisters, Kathleen Murphy of Indiana and Barbara Peters of Ohio, five grandchildren, Hayli Chronister, Jacob Freeman, Zoey Thomason, Noah Freeman and Wade Freeman, three great-grandchildren, Maggie Mae Chronister, Jaylynn Chronister and Emerson Jane Freeman.
