Deborah Kay Cox, age 73, ended this part of her journey on Thursday August 06, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born September 15, 1952, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Roy Franklin Sparks and Virginia Haney Sparks.
Deborah worked as a machinist for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, camping, rock hunting, and crafting in general. Her passion was her yard where she would spend hours meticulously working on her gardens and projects. Her work was evident if you ever had the chance to visit.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Terry Cox, one brother, Roy Sparks Jr. and one sister, Beverly Davey.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jaime Davis and Jennifer Lucas, both of Arkadelphia, four bonus children, Steve Cox, Josh Cox, Brittney Haynes, and Tyler Hansford, one grandchild, Logan Lucas, two great grandchildren, Kylen Lucas and Reece Lucas, one brother, Larry Sparks, special friends, Niki Bittle and Randy Bill Keeling, nieces and nephews, and a host of other friends left to cherish her memory.
An informal Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 14th, 2026, at 5:30PM at Welch Funeral Home. Come as you are and join us in remembering Debbie.
