The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Saturday, May 21

3:30 a.m.
A man reported observing two suspicious people at Mill Creek. He said the pair ran to their parked vehicle and drove away when they noticed him watching, and suspected they might have been pilfering through vehicles.

6:41 a.m.
A woman reported finding a firearm in a trash can at Mr. Suds laundromat, 1309 Pine St. The responding officer learned it was a BB gun and collected it from the scene.

10:53 p.m.
Police arrested a man at Carpenter Hill Apartments for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana following their response to a fight there between a male and female.

Officers worked a domestic battery involving a juvenile.

Officers responded to a non-criminal domestic disturbance involving a juvenile.

Friday, May 20

8:09 a.m.
A man reported someone struck his vehicle, parked at Southern Bancorp’s downtown branch, and left without reporting the accident.

Police responded to a non-criminal domestic disturbance involving a juvenile.

Police responded to a domestic battery involving a juvenile.

Friday, May 20

Justin W. Shockey, 43, was arrested for a warrant.

Melonie D. Sanders, 20, was arrested for theft of property and criminal mischief.

Andrew L. Harvey, 26, was arrested for theft of property and criminal mischief.

Jerry Waite, 41, was arrested for third-degree domestic battery and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Saturday, May 21

Charles Alsobrook, 47, was arrested by Gurdon police for no driver’s license, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

James Coleman Moore III, 41, was arrested for failure to appear.

Jerry Louis Beard, 22, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Sunday, May 22

Dagan King, 23, was arrested for a warrant.

Misty Manning, 30, was arrested for failure to comply.
