GRIFFITHTOWN — An Arkadelphia woman was struck and killed Saturday afternoon after she, for unknown reasons, fell out of a moving vehicle on Highway 7.
According to a fatal crash summary filed by Arkansas State Police, 23-year-old Erin T. Williams was the passenger of a Ford Expedition and “for unknown reasons … fell out [of the vehicle] while in motion.”
Williams was struck by a northbound Ford F-150 pickup. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Baptist Health Medical Center paramedics. Her body is being held at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
The accident happened at 3:13 p.m. Saturday, March 26, near Griffithtown.
Weather and highway conditions were listed as clear and dry, according to ASP Cpl. Chris Harper, who investigated the accident.
