The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Police arrested a man for public intoxication at Carpenter Hill Apartments. They responded to the complex for a 911 report of a disturbance; unable to locate any signs of a disturbance, they found an intoxicated suspect reclined in the front seat of his car with a kitchen knife in his lap. He denied phoning 911, saying he was instead trying to call 600 to get ahold of AT&T. There were no signs that the vehicle had been driven given the frost on the windshield.
