U.S. Senators John Boozman (R-AR) and Patty Murray (D-WA), senior members of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, introduced legislation to support the families of disabled veterans, including children who take on caregiving roles.
Three students from Ouachita Baptist University completed a five-week congressional internship for U.S. Sen. John Boozman this summer.
The Protect Farmers from the SEC Act will exempt family farmers and ranchers from certain reporting requirements.
The high school juniors will attend meetings throughout the year and work in teams to research national issues they select.
Boozman has delivered improvements to veterans benefits and services and continues to support the needs of Arkansas veterans by helping expand access to urgent care in Malvern.
“It’s past time to open the U.S. Capitol and Senate Office Buildings back up to the American people. They need access to these halls and to the buildings that contain so much of our nation’s history, art and culture. One of the things I enjoy most is watching our democracy and history come alive for Arkansans as they tour the Capitol,” Boozman said.
