Thurman Ray Ramsey, age 82, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, August 28, 2026, at his home. He was born March 21, 1944, in Dallas, TX, the son of the late Gilbert Monroe and Cory Mae Cooper Ramsey.
Thurman was a United States Army veteran. He was a retired truck driver and mechanic. Thurman enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Vernon, Everett and Herman Ramsey, two sisters, Berniece Booth and Jaquetta Ramsy.
Thurman is survived by one son, Steve Smith (Heidi) of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Kara Boring (David) of Amity, one brother, Max Ramsey of Texarkana, four sisters, Joyce Ankrum of Malvern, Letha Tipping of Dallas, Carol Buie of Malvern and Reba Ramsey of Dallas, eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
