Henderson State shot a tournament-low round of 5-under 283 on Tuesday to force a playoff at the 2022 Great American Conference Championships, then made two eagles at the No. 10 hole to defeat Southwestern Oklahoma State and win the program’s record sixth GAC title.
The Reddies claimed the second largest margin of victory in GAC Women’s Golf Championship history, while also setting a new GAC Women’s Golf Championship record after posting a 17-over 881, breaking the previous 54-hole team record by four strokes.
The honor for Ford is the second-straight and the fifth of his career at HSU. Tilton’s nod is the first GAC Golfer of the Week award of her time with the Reddies.
