Arrested or cited individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, April 27
6:52 a.m.
A Village Drive man reported vandalism to his vehicle.
An officer filed four separate reports of Possession of a Controlled Substance involving juveniles
Responding to Arkadelphia High School following administration app notification of vape usage in a restroom near the main gym, police reviewed video footage showing student Teresa Smith, 18, leaving the area of notification. A search of Smith resulted in finding a THC vape. Smith was taken into custody on the charge of possession of a controlled substance.

10:06 p.m.
Police were called to Robin Lane residence regarding confusion over which of the two tenants had rights to be there. The caller, whose official address is in Caddo Valley, complained that the property owner invited a male into the home several weeks prior, and that he refused to leave. It was soon discovered that the property owner is incarcerated in another county and therefore unable to pursue an eviction. An officer spoke with the roommate, who said he was given permission to stay there while the owner was in jail. Neither party was willing to leave the residence, but both agreed to remain separated within the abode and to contact the property owner to determine his wishes.
10:17 p.m.
Officers heard a female’s complaint that her estranged spouse had been harassing and stalking her. She was advised on how to obtain an order of protection through the prosecutor’s office.
Thursday, April 30
8:18 p.m.
Officers returned a wallet to its owner after a man found it in the parking lot at Pine Plaza, 2750 Pine St.
Friday, May 1
9:30 a.m.
A Bismarck man reported purchasing a vehicle he found on Facebook Marketplace only to discover at his local revenue office that the title needed corrections before registration could be processed. The seller, he said, would not give a refund and was unhelpful in providing contact information for the legal owner, who did not register the vehicle. The complainant was advised the matter was civil.

3:52 p.m.
Police were called to North 25th Street, where neighbors were insulting each other. An officer instructed the ladies to leave each other alone.
8:47 p.m.
Officers responded to a South 22nd Street residence for a domestic disturbance between a male and female. After taking statements from both parties and observing redness on the male’s back, police arrested Katrina Renae Jones, 43, for third-degree domestic battery.
11:27 p.m.
Police were summoned to Feaster Park for a fight between females. The complainant said the known suspect punched her, and that the brawl spiraled down a hill. The caller denied medical treatment to the injuries police observed, and opted to stay with her friends.

A Druid Hills Road woman reported vandalism to her vehicle
Sunday, May 3
5:30 a.m.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Ashbury Court. No arrest was made.

Tuesday, April 28
10:24 p.m.
A routine traffic stop at North 10th Street and M.H. Russell Drive led to the arrest of Tommy Lee Johnston, 54, of Caddo Valley, for driving with a suspended license and open container of alcohol.
Wednesday, April 29
12:09 a.m.
A routine traffic stop at Pine and 24th streets led to the arrest of Obie Cornelius Johnson, 40, of Arkadelphia, for driving with a suspended license.
