Clark County Retired Teachers (CCRTA) held their annual DeGray Lake picnic on a beautiful day. A good group of teachers gathered, including several who are recent retirees to enjoy visiting and kicking off the new year.
Mark White, Arkansas Teacher Retirement System Director and Arkadelphia native, assured everyone that retired teachers’ benefits are safe. ATRS invests in diverse funds which keeps the system growing.
The monthly donation was for a Sock Drive started by the United Methodist Church and being collected all around Arkadelphia. In total, 87 pairs of socks were given to be taken to school-aged children.
