GURDON — The Arkadelphia Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce announced that Clark County manufacturer Georgia-Pacific has advanced to the Featured Four round of the fifth annual ‘Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas’ competition.
Presented by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/AIA and Arkansas Business, the contest celebrates The Natural State’s rich manufacturing history and highlights some of the amazing products manufactured in Arkansas. After a public nomination process, Georgia-Pacific emerged from a competitive field to be named one of the top four finalists.
Known for setting industry standards, Georgia-Pacific’s operation in Clark County is a key contributor to the local and state economy.
“We are incredibly proud to see Georgia-Pacific represented in the Featured 4,” said Shelley Short, CEO of the Arkadelphia Alliance. “It’s a badge of honor for all of Clark County and a reflection of the strong businesses and people that make our region special. We’re ready to rally behind Georgia-Pacific and bring home the #1 spot.”
This prestigious recognition kicks off a final round of public voting to determine the ultimate winner. The community is invited to support this local manufacturing leader. The ultimate winner will be revealed on Nov. 17 during the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce annual meeting. The winning product will also be featured on coolestthinginarkansas.com.
