Dispatch Desk: Fist fights lead to arrests and citations at Feaster Park, Family Dollar

The following incidents were gathered from reports filed April 20-26, 2026, at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Arrested or cited individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names, so don’t even think about asking. 

Arkadelphia Police Department

Monday, April 20

1:45 p.m.
An Arkadelphia woman reported an attempted fraudulent transaction to her debit card. She attempt was made to a clothing brand, but the transaction was rejected as the card was locked. She suspected a Gurdon gas station clerk who took her payment the previous afternoon is part of a skimming scam and responsible for the attempt.

2:15 p.m.
An officer took a female’s report of sexual harassment at her workplace.

Tuesday, April 21

Felony incident still under investigation: Residential burglary, 500 block of South 14th Street

6:19 p.m.
Responding to reports of a fist fight at Feaster Park’s lower ball field, police were met by a pair of off-duty officers who had separated the parties involved in the altercation on the bleachers. Zmyia Keajah Jackson, 20, and Karrington Antherial Norful, 19, both of Arkadelphia, were cited at the scene for disorderly conduct and ejected from the park.

6:42 p.m.
Officers responded to Family Dollar, 1550 Pine St., where an on-duty Henderson State policeman had separated and detained two males who’d gotten into fisticuffs in the parking lot. Police spoke with both involved parties, learning that Mark Anthony Chambers, 53, of Springdale, had struck Gurdon resident Jason Lavon Gray, 43, in the face, but could not ascertain why Chambers threw the punch. Based on the HSU officer’s account that both men were actively striking each other in “mutual combat” when he arrived, Chambers and Gray were arrested for disorderly conduct. As Chambers smelled of alcohol, he was additionally charged with public intoxication.

Saturday, April 25

2:07 a.m.
Police were called to a domestic disturbance at Walnut Square Apartments, 1010 S. 16th St. The male suspect called police after the disturbance turned physical. Police did not observe any noticeable marks on the female victim. Based on the her statement, officers arrested Kevis Carl Smith, 20, for third-degree domestic battery.

3:30 p.m.
Officers were called to a domestic dispute at Cox Mobile Manor, 3027 Pine St. Both parties denied a physical altercation, and had separated prior to police arrival. No arrest was made.

6:29 p.m.
Officers responded to a Hartford Drive residence for a complaint of a female beating at a door and screaming for the female inside. Onesha Steen, 24, of Arkadelphia, was arrested for disorderly conduct. Steen said she was at the residence because the other female had slashed her car tire.

8 p.m.
Station employees at Tiger Mart reported a customer in a white van pumped $94 worth of fuel and drove off. After reviewing security footage, an officer located the suspect two and a half hours later at the 400 block of North 16th Street, and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, identified as Wesley K. Rogers, 62, of Arkadelphia, admitted to the theft. Asked if he would return to the station and pay for the fuel, Rogers said he didn’t have the money, and was cited for theft of motor fuel and various other traffic offenses.

10:05 p.m.
At the request of an ambulance crew, officers and firefighters were called to a South 10th Street residence for a welfare check as contact was initially unsuccessful. The resident’s employer phoned in the welfare check after the 70-year-old male left work ill a few days prior and hadn’t heard from him since. Firefighters ultimately forced entry into the house to find the resident very weak and ill. He allowed EMS to check his vitals but refused medical transport.

Sunday, April 26

1:30 p.m.
Police returned to the South 10th Street home at the request of a caller who advised he found the resident deceased. The caller said he went to check on the resident after observing him in an ill and weak state the day before, finding him deceased on the bathroom floor. EMS arrived and stood by until the coroner pronounced the man dead and retrieved his body.
