The search continued Monday for a prisoner who escaped from the Clark County Detention Center.

Sean Anthony Bright remains on the lam after he reportedly walked away from a kitchen detail Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff Jason Watson said agencies used tracking dogs throughout the night in search of Bright, 31. He is described as a white male standing at 5-foot-4-inches and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing either a jail-issued orange shirt or a white shirt, with either orange or brown pants.

Bright was awaiting trial for an array of felony and misdemeanor charges, including aggravated assault on a police officer, fleeing, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bright had been incarcerated since his arrest in January 2026. He was due in Clark County Circuit Court for a pre-trial hearing on Tuesday, April 7.

The sheriff said the Arkansas Department of Corrections is aiding in the search with that agency’s bloodhounds tracking scents, as well as trail-sniffing dogs from the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. On Monday morning, officials were focusing their efforts around Copeland Ridge Road and Open Banks Road, south of Arkadelphia.
