4 Clark County inmates eligible for parole in December

As of Dec. 1, 2025, there were 332 people listed as Clark County inmates by the Arkansas Department of Corrections website.

There were 4 fewer inmates since the November report. The inmates are distributed among several institutions throughout the state.

There are 22 Clark County inmates serving a life sentence or life without parole, and one Garland County inmate on death row who served probation in Clark County in the 1980s.

The total includes 307 men and 25 women. There are 171 black inmates, 156 white inmates and five of other races.

The following Clark County inmates have a parole- or transfer-eligible date in December 2025, although there are several factors that could affect any individual release for months or years. 

Ryan Tremaine Johnson, 40, is serving 5 years at the East Arkansas Regional Unit in Brickeys. Johnson’s current sentence history includes a April 2025 conviction in Sebastian County of Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance less than 2 grams (habitual offender); a February 2025 conviction in Clark County of Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance less than 2 grams; and a January 2025 conviction in Hot Spring County of Fleeing in a Vehicle.

Steven Kirkpatrick, 42, is serving a 2-year sentence at the Grimes Unit in Newport for a July 2025 conviction in Clark County of Residential Burglary (probation revocation; habitual offender).

Caliph Turner, 30, is serving 15 years at the Ester Unit. Caliph Turner’s current sentence history includes a pair of January 2024 convictions in Clark County of Theft of Property and Criminal Attempt (aggravated robbery; probation revocation); and a pair of 2015 convictions, also in Clark County, of Criminal Attempt (Aggravated Robbery) and 1st-degree Terroristic Threatening.

Corey Turner, 46, is serving a 20-year sentence at the Ouachita River Correctional Facility in Malvern. Corey Turner’s current sentence history includes a January 2025 conviction in Clark County of Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver (probation revocation; habitual offender); a 2018 conviction of Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver (habitual offender); a pair of 2017 convictions in Dallas County of Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance less than 2 grams (habitual offender) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and a pair of 2010 convictions in Clark County of Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver and first-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
