Royce Delano McElhannon, age 92, of Bismarck, passed from the life on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center in Hot Springs. He was born March 4, 1933, in Beirne, the son of the late Lloyd Edward and Gladys Perrine McElhannon.
Royce was retired from the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He then worked and retired from the United States Postal Office in Gurdon. Royce enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Payne McElhannon, two sons, Larry McElhannon and Billy McElhannon, and one daughter in law, Margaret Lynn McElhannon.
Survivors are two grandsons, Matthew McElhannon (Amanda) of Bismarck and Daniel McElhannon of Bismarck, three great-grandchildren, Katie, Kacey and Myles McElhannon.
No services are planned.
