Earl Lewis

Jewel Earl Lewis, affectionately known as Pap, 83 of Sparkman, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. He was born January 24, 1942, to the late Clyde B. and Mary (Long) Lewis.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Ed Lewis and Bill Lewis, and great-grandson Jack Crangle.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue Lewis, son Bobby (Deborah) Lewis of Sparkman, and two daughters Vicki (Jimmy) Wilson of Glenwood, and Missy (David) Rogers of Arkadelphia; six grandchildren, Beth Mayberry, Clint Wilson, Allison Crangle, Trent Lewis, Kyle Canale, and Ava Lewis; five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by his sisters Betty Blansett of Searcy, Ruby Wisley of Sheridan, Mary Ann Wallace of Saratoga, and sister-in-law Linda Lewis of Sparkman.

He was a member of Ouachita Baptist Church where he found his church family after giving his heart to the Lord. He was employed at Ray White Lumber Company for 50 years and was well known for his dozer operating skills. He spent his life outdoors. He enjoyed fox hunting and field trials with his friends and children, hunting for turkeys, and was always watching the ground for arrow heads. You could always find him riding his grandchildren on the four-wheeler.

Earl was a devoted husband, father, and Pap and always had a way of making everyone he met feel special, always having a story to tell. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and stood firm in his faith, always finding a way to share Jesus with those around him. His family finds peace and comfort knowing he is rejoicing with his Lord and Savior. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy and is greatly missed.
