Sammie Jean Hutchison, age 73, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born July 14, 1951, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of Sam W. and Melba Jean Malcom Smith.
Sammie was a retired retail clothing Wholesaler in Dallas. She was of the Baptist Faith. Sammie enjoyed painting, cooking and socializing with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, Al Hutchison, one sister, Sharon McKin and one brother, Dale Smith.
Survivors are her mother, Melba Jean Malcom Smith, one son, Al Hutchison of Mobile, AL, one daughter, Ashley Hutchison of Bryant, one grand-daughter, Kaia Rose Hutchison of Bryant, and one sister, Sheila White (Billy) of Arkadelphia.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Shiloh Cemetery Fund.
