Police remain tight-lipped about a death investigation in Arkadelphia.
On Wednesday, March 26, authorities revealed the name of a Walnut Street woman whose body was found inside her home earlier this week. The deceased was Bobbie Jo Vaughan, a white female with no known relatives in Clark County.
Police are not saying whether they have named or questioned any suspects connected to Vaughan’s mysterious death. We will update as new information is learned.

Authorities probing death of Arkadelphia woman found at home
Authorities are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found Monday inside her Arkadelphia home. Officials are not yet releasing the name of the deceased. The Arkadelphia Police Department released this statement:
On Monday, March 24, 2025, officers were requested for a welfare concern at a residence at the 1500 block of Walnut Street. Officers arrived and forced entry into the home where they located a deceased 69-year-old white female inside.
The female decedent’s vehicle was located unattended approximately two blocks from the home at a vacant residence.
The female’s body is being submitted to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
The case is being investigated by the Arkadelphia Police Department, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police.
