Santa Claus may need his umbrella while making his rounds in 2024 as both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are looking wet rather than white, the National Weather Service in Little Rock said.

The highest rain chances are on Christmas Eve, with precipitation waning during the Big Day. The highest chances for rain on Wednesday (Christmas Day) will be over the southeastern half of the state.

High temperatures are projected to range from the upper 50s to mid 60s.

The seven-day forecast for Arkadelphia calls for a mild weekend ahead of Christmas, with nighttime lows near or below the freezing mark.

After a cloudy, mild Monday, chances for rain begin to pick up in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday. Showers are likely Tuesday, with a 70% chance of precipitation.

Arkadelphia’s Christmas Day forecast, which is subject to change, calls for a 20% chance of showers under partly sunny skies.
