Three seniors from local high schools received Good Citizen awards from the Arkadelphia Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution at a tea and chapter meeting Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at Second Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.
Those receiving awards were: Julia Greenwich, Arkadelphia High School; Mollee Manning, Gurdon High; and Linden Green, Ouachita High. Avery Efird of Bismarck High and Raylea Barrett of Centerpoint also earned the award for their schools but were unable to attend the ceremony.
High school faculty members and students chose each school’s Good Citizen by vote. Selection was based on leadership, dependability, service and patriotism.
Each winner received a lapel pin and a certificate from the Arkadelphia chapter.
Arkadelphia’s Good Citizen, Julia Greenwich is the daughter of Jason and Linda Greenwich and Kevin and Allyson Morgan. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the AHS Quiz Bowl team and Bible Club.
Mollee Manning plays on the basketball, softball and track teams at Gurdon High. She also serves as president of her school’s Future Farmers of America Chapter. Her parents are Rusty and Stephanie Manning.
Linden Green, daughter of Allison and Brett Chancellor, serves as a member of the cheerleading squad at Ouachita High School. She is a member of the Beta Club and the Gifted and Talented Program.
