Burn bans have been lifted in Clark County and neighboring counties as of Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024.

Clark County Judge Troy Tucker lifted the local ban on Sunday. The ban, issued on Oct. 5, was in effect for four weeks.

New rainfall amounts tallying six-tenths of an inch was recorded at Arkadelphia’s Dexter B. Florence Memorial Field on Sunday, Nov. 3, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock. More showers and thunderstorms are likely Monday and Tuesday, with slight chances of precipitation each day through Sunday.

With the exception of a few counties in the northwestern corner of the state, where wildfire conditions remain high, a majority of Arkansas counties were still under a moderate risk of wildfire, meaning caution should still be taken during outdoor burning.
