Local Humane Society participating in Empty the Shelter event through Oct. 15

The Humane Society of Clark County is participating in a nationwide adoption event sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation.

The foundation’s Empty the Shelters adoption event lasts from Oct. 1-15, 2024. The sponsorship reduces adoption fees, with all pets being spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

“We are over capacity with a record number of abandoned pets and low adoptions this year,” said HSCC board director Cathy Garrett.

The shelter is offering the following prices for animal adoptions:

Dogs – $25

Puppies – $50

Cats – $20

Kittens – $30
