The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Sunday, March 17
3:12 p.m.
Braysen Wayne Applegate and Joden Noah Harbour, both 18 and of Arkadelphia, were cited at Walmart for theft of property. The store’s loss prevention officer reported the two were scanning some items but didn’t scan $49 worth of merchandise.
Monday, March 18
3 p.m.
Officers took a report of trespassing from a resident of the 1000 block of South 12th Street. She said a neighbor relayed to her that 4-5 people were on the roof of her barn. Police photographed some footwear impressions that had been left in the dirt near the barn.

10:54 a.m.
A burglary was investigated at the 500 block of South 10th Street, where a female reported the theft of several pieces of wrought iron furniture and two new crockpots from a storage shed.
Thursday, March 21
9:02 a.m.
A female reported a known male struck her in the face the previous evening.
11 a.m.
Officers investigated an attempted burglary of a concession stand at the Youth Sports Complex. The looter was unsuccessful at gaining entry but caused damage to a lock in the process. Police found items at the scene belonging to a suspect named in the report.
12:31 p.m.
A Gurdon man reported his on-again, off-again girlfriend made an unauthorized ATM withdrawal totaling $300 from an Arkadelphia bank. The complainant visited with officers the next day to provide an alternate last name for the female.
Friday, March 22
2:58 a.m.
A resident of Carpenter Hill Apartments, 670 S. 6th St., reported an unidentified person knocked at her door. Before she could answer, the aggressive guest shattered the outer panel of the front window and fled the scene.
11:42 p.m.
Officers were summoned to North 10th Street near its intersection with M.H. Russell Drive, where a motorist reported his vehicle’s hood came ajar while he was driving, flew back and hit the windshield, shattering it. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to the damage.
Saturday, March 23
2:08 a.m.
Jorden Ray Pierce, 22, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at 1802 Pine St. for violating an order of protection and theft of property. Police were called to the area for a report that he was in violation of an order prohibiting him from being at a nearby apartment complex. During the arrest, officers found previously reported stolen items in his possession: an EBT card and identification cards belonging to the victim.
5:55 p.m.
Ta’Marques Finney, 20, of Little Rock, was arrested at Walmart for criminal trespass following a complaint of two females attempting to open locked cabinets in the electronics department with keys stolen that morning from a Conway Walmart. Finney had been banned from Walmart stores in December 2023. An attempt to locate the second suspect was unfruitful.
11:10 p.m.
A Clinton Street man reported a known male struck him in the chest, either with a stick or a handle. The reporting officer noted the complainant had a laceration on his finger. He was treated at Baptist Health Medical Center for the injury. With only the aggressor’s nickname provided, officers were unable to search for the suspect.
