Walmart/Sam’s Club Facility #318 has awarded Hamilton Haven, a Prescott nonprofit, a $500 grant.
Hamilton Haven is an all-volunteer organization which opened in April 2020 and provides short term, emergency housing to families and individuals temporarily displaced due to fire, flood, other natural disasters, or additional situations as determined by Hamilton Haven leadership.
Their core service area consists of Clark, Hempstead, and Nevada counties, but anyone may be assisted.
“We are pleased that the Arkadelphia Walmart store recognizes the importance of our mission,” Hamilton Haven Executive Director Michele Hamilton Rhodes said. “Our team remains committed to serving displaced families.”
“This is the first grant we’ve received from the Arkadelphia location,” said Public Relations Coordinator Nathan Tidwell.
The Local Community Grants program allows Walmart facilities to provide funding directly to local organizations.
Hamilton Haven is a 501(c)(3) organization and designated as a public charity by the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions are tax deductible. Anyone interested in contributing, volunteering or receiving more information can contact Michele Hamilton Rhodes at 870-403-8096 or Nathan Tidwell at 501-687-7844.
