The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, June 5
7:04 p.m.
Officers responded to The Golden Wok, 2809 Pine St., for a verbal altercation between coworkers in the kitchen. At the behest of police, one went home for the evening to cool his temper.
A felony drug arrest was made at the 1200 block of North 10th Street.
Sunday, June 4
12:12 a.m.
Officers responded to Elliston Place Apartments, 222 N. 20th St., for a report of a motorist in an SUV ramming vehicles in the parking lot after an altercation. One witness said he was struck and took a brief ride on the hood of the SUV until the crazed driver stopped, reversed and sped away. The report indicates no one suffered any injuries. The suspect was not located.
1:28 a.m.
Robert Kirk Irvin, 51, of Hot Springs, was arrested for public intoxication at Caddo and 3rd streets following a report of a person lying in the grass.
5:52 p.m.
Police responded to Walmart, between the two main entrances, for an assault on an employee by a known person. Several witnesses made statements that the suspect made verbal threats before attacking the employee. Customers separated the pair before the assailant drove off. Police soon located Colena Melissa Yepez, 39, while driving on Frost Road in Caddo Valley. She was taken into custody on charges of third-degree battery and disorderly conduct.
Saturday, June 3
4 p.m.
A Fayetteville woman visiting family in Arkadelphia reported her estranged husband texted her several times, a violation of the protection order she has against him.
Police took an “information only” report involving a juvenile.
Friday, June 2
Police investigated a report of breaking or entering at the 1700 block of Logan Street.
1:23 p.m.
A Cutler Street woman reported the theft of a $51 money order, likely by a known female who had requested a ride.

Saturday, June 3
4:47 p.m.
Blake James Bailey, 29, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at a Piney Ridge Road, Okolona, residence after a deputy found drug paraphernalia on his person. The arresting deputy had responded to the residence for an argument between two people over allowing drug users on the premises.

Wheatie C. Wells, 44, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, careless and prohibited driving, refusal to submit and having an open container of alcohol.
Monday, June 5
Jeremy Simmons, 32, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
