INDIANAPOLIS — The Ouachita Baptist University football team has been selected as a top four seed in the NCAA Division II Super Region 3 Playoffs, and will host Northwest Missouri State University in the first round next Saturday, September 19 at Cliff Harris Stadium.

This is Ouachita’s fifth berth into the NCAA Division II playoffs, and first since 2019. This Saturday’s game is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff against the Bearcats.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, November 14 online through the Ouachita box office. General admission tickets are $8. Tickets for students in grades K-12 are $5. Premium and bench reserved tickets are $20 and $15, respectively. Season-ticket holders will have first rights to their respective seats through Wednesday, November 16. 2022 parking passes will be honored for this game. All other parking will be $5.

The news comes less than 24 hours after the Tigers put the finishing touches on an undefeated regular season at 11-0 thanks to a come-from-behind rally to force overtime and ultimately beat their cross-street rival Henderson State on Saturday by a final score of 40-37 in the Battle of the Ravine.

Northwest Missouri, the second place team from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), is 9-2 with five straight wins to end the regular season, including a 27-21 win over No. 22 Emporia State on Saturday.

This will be the first-ever football matchup between Ouachita and Northwest Missouri. More information for Saturday’s game will be released throughout the week online at OBUtigers.com and through the Ouachita football social media channels.
