ADC: 6 Clark County inmates eligible for parole in September

There are six Arkansas Department of Correction inmates serving prison time for felonies committed in Clark County who are eligible for parole in September 2022. The Arkadelphian includes mugshots when they are available. They are:

Tracy W. Blankenship

Tracy Blankenship

Tracy Blankenship turned 50 years old in prison today, Sept. 1, 2022. He is serving a 10-year sentence with Benton Work Release for charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a certain person, drug charges and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. Initially receipted into the prison system in November 2017, Blankenship is eligible for parole on Sept. 7.

Savanna Cook

Savanna Cook, 22, is serving a 5-year sentence at the McPherson Unit for charges of property theft and theft of a firearm. She was initially receipted into the prison system in December 2021. Cook is eligible for parole on Sept. 3.

Cortez Gatlin

Cortez Gatlin

Cortez Gatlin, 30, is serving 37 years at the Ester Unit for charges in Clark and Garland counties. In 2014 he was convicted in Clark County for delivery of a controlled substance, and in 2016 for negligent homicide and failure to stop at a fatal accident. With an initial receipt date of April 2014, Gatlin becomes eligible for parole on Sept. 11.

Megan Gearhart

Megan Gearhart was convicted in May 2022 for charges of second-degree battery. The 24-year-old is serving a three-year term at the McPherson Unit, and becomes eligible for transfer or parole on Sept. 24.

Christopher Lea

Christopher Lea, 36, is serving a 6-year sentence at the Delta Regional Unit in Dermott for convictions in Clark and Dallas counties. Lea was convicted in 2018 for second-degree battery in Clark County, and in 2022 for breaking or entering and possession of a firearm by a certain person in Dallas County. He was first receipted into the prison system in June 2018, and becomes parole eligible on Sept. 8.

Larry L. Wilson

Larry Wilson

Larry Wilson, 69, is serving a sentence of 16 years and 8 months at the Grimes Unit in Newport. Wilson was most recently convicted in 2020 of using another person’s property to facilitate a crime and possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver. Prior to that, Wilson had a history of drug and violence convictions dating back to 2003. He becomes eligible for parole on Sept. 4.
