The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Thursday, Sept. 29
2:48 p.m.
Police responded to Walgreens, where a loaded pistol had been found in a shopping cart near the entrance. The firearm was seized as evidence.

Police opened an investigation into a residential burglary. The case was sealed as a felony.

11:23 p.m.
Officers responded to a noise complaint at a party on North 12th Street. Upon arrival and officer observed a bong on the tailgate of a pickup. Its owner was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wednesday, Sept. 28
Police worked an “information only” incident involving a juvenile.

8:46 p.m.
A North Little Rock man was arrested near the junction of Walnut Street and US Highway 67 for an array of traffic violations, as he sped past an officer parked at the fairgrounds at speeds of well over 100 mph. A brief pursuit ended when the driver lost control of the vehicle and came to a stop at Hendry Oil Co.

Police worked a third-degree battery case involving a juvenile.

9:04 p.m.
Officers responded to Pioneer Inn for a report of harassment. The intoxicated complainant, who said she’d been called the “ho of the hotel”, was led to her room and told to stay there until she sobered up, and was advised of affidavit procedures. The name-calling suspect was told not to loiter at the motel.

Arrests in Clark County

Wednesday, Sept. 28
Kyler Sellers, 27, was arrested by Gurdon police for resisting arrest, public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kenneth Wayne Thomas, 64, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for felony possession of a controlled substance.

Thursday, Sept. 29
Barry Alan Walker, 58, was held for a court appearance.
