The Arkadelphia Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution celebrated its 110th anniversary with a celebration June 4, 2026, at Blakelytown Event Venue.

Guests enjoyed a buffet and a Fashion Exposition (1916-2026), with chapter members modeling vintage clothing and sharing chapter highlights from their history.

Special guests included many from DAR chapters around the state and several officers from the Arkansas State Society including Charline Manning, State Regent, and Christina Twardowski, State Vice Regent. Local Arkadelphia leadership included Karolynn Farnan, Shirley Hardin, Shirley Graham, and Laverne Todd.

The next events planned by the Arkadelphia Chapter will be held Wednesday, June 10. At 10 a.m. the community is invited to join DAR on the east lawn of the Clark County Courthouse for a Remember and Honor ceremony with a tree dedication. This event will recognize the sacrifice of the Gold Star family of Landon Giles in 2005 – Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Following that ceremony, at 11 a.m., join DAR at Arkadelphia Central Park, near the Clark County Farmer’s Market pavilion on North 10th Street, for a Liberty Tree Dedication honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States and reflecting on the American Patriots and Sons of Liberty of 1776.

The public is invited to both events.
