The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

10:59 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run at the Shell station, 3111 Pine St. The suspect driver was later located and told police it was an honest mistake as he couldn’t ascertain whether the bump he felt while backing up was a result of his driving a manual or hitting another car.

1:18 p.m.
A Delight woman reported a shopping cart hit her vehicle while parked at Walmart.

5:13 p.m.
An officer responded to 10th Street and Carter Road for a report of an individual intentionally stepping out in front of traffic. The man was ultimately detained, and it was determined he had a history of mental illness.

8:55 p.m.
Police responded to Pioneer Inn for a domestic disturbance between neighbors residing at the motel.

Monday, Aug. 15

7:40 p.m.
Officers were summoned to Winner’s Circle, 3120 Pine St., where a clerk reported a former employee (now banned from the store) showed up. The banned employee left prior to police arrival.

Police opened a felony investigation of residential burglary.

Monday, Aug. 15

Barry Hart, 75, was arrested by Arkadelphia police and held for continued detention.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

Anthony Springer, 34, was arrested for absconding.
