ARKADELPHIA — The Ouachita Baptist University football team is back at home for the second time of the 2022 season this Saturday, September 24.

This time, the ninth-ranked Tigers are set to host the seventh-ranked Bisons of Harding University in prime time. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. this Saturday at Cliff Harris Stadium at Benson-Williams Field.

The game will be broadcast live on the Ouachita Football Radio Network on affiliate stations across the state, and on YouTube through the Ouachita Sports Digital Network. Links can be found at www.OBUtigers.com/coverage.

Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. General admission tickets will be available for $8.

Unofficially, this is just the second time ever that a top 10 Ouachita team has played a top 10 team from the state of Arkansas. In 1975, the Tigers were ranked No. 6 in the NAIA national rankings when they beat No. 2 Henderson State in the Battle of the Ravine by a score of 21-20 to clinch a share of the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference championship and send the team to the NAIA playoffs for the first time ever.

This Saturday’s game will mark the fifth time since the beginning of the Great American Conference in 2011 that Ouachita and Harding have been nationally-ranked when they played each other.
