The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Thursday, May 12

Police opened a felony case of theft between $1,000-$5,000.

10:18 a.m.
A Gurdon woman reported someone struck her vehicle, parked at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, on May 8 and left without reporting the accident.

Wednesday, May 11

Police opened a felony case of residential burglary.

11:43 a.m.
Theft of a Bluetooth speaker and jobsite radio/charger was reported at a residence at the 1700 block of Pine Street.

Police worked two cases of endangering the welfare of a minor.

5:22 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a car-versus-bicycle accident at 23rd and Walnut streets but found no evidence to suggest anything had happened.

Arrests

Wednesday, May 11

Brody D. Joyce, 35, was arrested for probation violation.

Benjamin Edward Cook, 43, was arrested for failure to comply.

Carl Erskine Quarles Jr., 39, was arrested for failure to appear.

Thursday, May 12

Nicole Heavinly, 19, was arrested for failure to comply.

Kendra Butler, 31, was arrested by Arkadelphia police and held for continued detention.

Keith Cox, 57, was arrested for public intoxication and endangering the welfare of a minor.
