The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Wednesday, March 23
3:30 a.m.
Police arrested a man at Pioneer Inn for criminal trespass. They had been called to the motel on two recent occasions for reports the man had been yelling profanities.

Tuesday, March 22
2:18 a.m.
Officers cited a man at Southview Apartments for unlawful use of a vehicle following a report the previous evening that he’d taken the vehicle during an altercation with the female complainant.

10:22 a.m.
A woman reported someone used her name to place online orders for pizza.

5:59 p.m.
Officers responded to a residence at the 900 block of Walnut Street for a report of two dogs running at large. Unable to make contact with the residents, an officer discovered 17 puppies in a “makeshift confinement” of wire beneath a trampoline in a side yard. The young canines were transported to the city pound by animal control.

Monday, March 21
9:18 a.m.
A North 11th Street man reported someone struck his parked vehicle.

10:50 a.m.
A woman reported getting into a physical altercation with her child’s father, and that he threw a rock at her vehicle as she was driving away. She was advised of affidavit procedures.

5:15 p.m.
Police responded to Ouachita Village Apartments, 11 Cypress Dr., to remove an unwanted guest from the premises.

Sunday, March 20
9:41 p.m.
Officers performed a civil standby at a Duluth Street residence while a female got her cell phone from her boyfriend, who took it during an altercation.

Monday, March 21
6:06 p.m.
Deputies responded to a welfare concern at a residence on Highway 26, Okolona.

8:30 p.m.
Deputies were summoned to the 2100 block of Red Springs Road for a report of arson. An hour later a person matching the suspect’s description was detained, but soon released following a conversation with the state’s Forestry Commission, which took over the investigation.

Monday, March 21
Jesus Guillen, 29, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for possession of a controlled substance.
Brandon Lynn Elkins, 25, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for failure to appear.
Brandon D. Mallory, 37, was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance.
Emery Kay Barnett, 20, was arrested by Group 6 Narcotics for unlisted charges.
Gilbert Wayne Collums, 39, was arrested for violating suspension of probation.

Tuesday, March 22
James Barley Blake, 28, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for failure to appear.

Wednesday, March 23
Seana Humphries, 21, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for possession of a controlled substance.
